Storage Saving could

Storage Saving could be the new feature that Samsung would launch for its smartphones. It would be ideal for entry-level and mid-range mobiles, which have little internal memory capacity. It will optimize the internal memory by freeing up and saving space on the memory unit.

Storage Saving

The new feature that the new Samsung smartphones would have would be Storage Saving. The objective of this new function would be to free space in the internal memory of the smartphone, so that those mobiles that have a low-capacity internal memory, do not run out of available memory.

Storage Saving would free up space in the internal memory of the mobile phone by sending the photos and videos to the Samsung cloud, and leaving only low-quality files on the mobile that do not take up space. Thanks to this, there would be much more space available in the memory of the smartphone, something that will be very relevant in those mobiles that have an internal memory of 16 GB, as is the case of many basic and mid-range smartphones, such as the Samsung Galaxy J and Samsung Galaxy A.

Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) Of course, this new Storage Saving function would only reach the Samsung Galaxy. It is not clear if it will be a function that will be available only in the new Samsung Galaxy phones that are being launched from now on, or if it will also reach current phones through an operating system update.

For the entry-level and mid-range Samsung Galaxy

However, it seems that this function will be designed to be used in basic and mid-range mobiles. While it is true that it has not been confirmed whether it will only be available for these, or also for high-end mobiles such as the Galaxy S8 or the Galaxy Note 8, the truth is that the fact that these mobiles count (or will count in the case of the Galaxy Note 8), with an internal memory of 64 GB, the fact of freeing memory is not so relevant.

It would be great if this new function came through an update also to Samsung's current entry-level and mid-range mobiles, because after all, for many users it would be very useful to have an application that would automatically free up memory .

Of course, the Samsung Cloud offers users of a Samsung Galaxy smartphone a total of 15 GB. If it really is to be really useful, it will have to offer more space in the Cloud, or at least offer a paid plan for those who want more memory in the Cloud.
